Scientific studies ongoing

AtlanTick has taken the important step of partnering with researchers at Acadia University to create a safe, effective, reliable tick repellent spray. Through our extensive studies and testing, we have created a formula that is proven to be effective and able to stand up to competing DEET-based repellents.

Why does this research matter?

The impacts of tick-borne diseases can be devastating, debilitating, life changing. The repellent products you use to protect yourself need to work. They also need to be safe to use.

Essential oils are a potent, powerful source of valuable plant compounds, and have been used to improve peoples’ health and wellness for centuries. Unfortunately, there are still many unknowns when it comes to their best use.  Different combinations of oils have varying effects, and used at concentrated levels can be unsafe or even toxic.

Whether or not they are naturally derived, the safety and effectiveness of the products we apply to our bodies should not be left to chance. Our scientific studies ensure that our tick repellent uses the most effective combination of ingredients at the safest levels of dilution, so we can provide you with highly valuable tools in the fight against tick bites.

We are in the midst of registering our tick repellent with Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency. For regular updates on this process and other helpful tick-related information, like and follow our Facebook page.
